GOOD AT EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING TO ENJOY YOURSELF
If you had to pick just one bike that you're looking to push a little further each time, then that bike would be the Bronson. From the perfectly shaped bike park, to the most rutted turns, higher in the mountains, as on all terrains, the Bronson rises to every occasion, at ease in the air as in the best dirt. So if you have the temperament of Peter Pan, let the Bronson fully assume the most turbulent of behaviors.
The Bronson's appearance has changed dramatically! But it wasn't to satisfy a designer's ego or simply to do something new. It allowed us to move the position of the lower link, to place the shock lower and forward, thus reducing the level of anti-squat, necessary to exploit the fire of a bike like the Bronson.
ANTI-SQUAT, WHAT IS IT?
Anti-squat level indicates how much pedaling affects the firmness of the suspension. Imagine a phenomenon that would pull your chain, and therefore your pedals, backwards every time the suspension works, this is the anti-squat effect. Too low an anti-squat level and your bike will pump when pedaling. Too much anti-squat and your suspension will feel like it is frozen when accelerating or when you stand up, leaning on the pedals while descending. The bike will not be able to absorb the shocks. So it is a happy medium and we have worked hard to improve (reduce) the anti-squat level on the Bronson. The result is better grip and a freer suspension.
EVERY MILLIMETER COUNTS
Each slightly relocated VPP™ pivot point significantly changes the bike's suspension and handling on the trail. The reworked lower link, now positioned lower and forward, optimizes the level of anti-squat, providing a more active, smoother suspension with maximum grip.
BRONSON'S CHARACTER TRAITS:
• Minimal kickback effect, even on the most pronounced impacts.
• Active pedaling suspension, ideal in technical and rough sections.
• Better sensitivity. The suspension is fairly soft at the start of the race and helps to smooth out the terrain.
• Optimized suspension ratio curve, for reassuring, consistent behavior and progressive support.
ON THE GROUND
The best VPP™ suspension we have ever developed... Tenfold grip and healthy, precise handling make it an excellent downhiller.
ASSEMBLY
The connecting rods and axles used allow for optimal operation for many years. The assembly is robust, reliable and easy to maintain. In addition, the first owner benefits from free bearings for life.
