Imagine a phenomenon that would pull your chain, and therefore your pedals, backwards every time the suspension works, this is the anti-squat effect. Too low an anti-squat level and your bike will pump when pedaling. Too much anti-squat and your suspension will feel like it is frozen when accelerating or when you stand up, leaning on the pedals while descending. The bike will not be able to absorb the shocks. So it is a happy medium and we have worked hard to improve (reduce) the anti-squat level on the Bronson.
